It's Hard Being Pretty

It's hard being pretty. You never know if guys really like you for you or if they just want to "hit" because you're attractive. People are scared to approach you because they feel like you're high maintenance or stuck up. Guys always claiming you got the hoes. Girls envy you and are jealous. You go up for jobs and people bypass your opinions or ideas because you're merely just a pretty face. Some guys expect you to just be pretty, a trophy, and not have a voice or speak up. With success comes rumors of how you got it. People are judgmental always looking for flaws. People really think you're winning, when that's not always true. Because a beautiful person is much more than skin deep. Anyone can be pretty. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The pressure of keeping up "being pretty" starts to get to you. It becomes a second job almost. You spend more time worrying about what others will think, before your own happiness. Then you start to grow unhappy and can't figure out why. You become insecure. You're always your biggest critic. Faking smiles on the outside when inside you're crying. And no one gets it. No one thinks you need help, because you're pretty. Beyonce was right, pretty hurts. It hurts a lot. When you're constantly complimented, and guys always hitting you up and people putting heart eye emojis under your pics and you getting 100+ likes, but for what? Because at night you're still alone, those guys that hit you up don't want to commit, and those 100 people that liked your pics walk right pass you everyday and don't speak. It's hard being pretty. You have to be much more than just a pretty face. You have to make a change, inspire people, live a positive and respectful life. With that comes many temptations. And with all the pressure of being pretty you actually start to grow ugly. Maybe not physical but in the way you act. You let the compliments and gas go to your head, then you become unattractive. So here you are, a pretty girl that no one likes. Often times we get so caught up in what others think and lose ourselves. Sometimes you have to do some self renovations and get right with God. When you start to make positive progress others will see it and be drawn to you, and you'll be much more than just a pretty face, but a beautiful person both inside and out.
