Love Yourself...Or Nobody Will:)

Confidence: belief in oneself and one's powers or abilities; self-confidence; self-reliance; assurance:

I believe confidence comes from within. No one knows you better than yourself so how can you let the opinions of others effect you? You don't have to be the skinniest, thickest, lightest, smartest, or richest person to be loved. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I believe God created everyone with a soulmate in mind and you just have to be patient to find them. I struggled with confidence in high school. It's crazy because I made good grades, was on the cheerleading team, and was even captain but because I wasn't "light skinned" I didn't feel as beautiful as my friends. I think guys I dated took advantage of that because they felt that I wasn't going anywhere because they could see my insecurities. It wasn't until I got to college that I actually gained confidence. Guys would always compliment me, and even the guys that played me in high school tried to come back. It made no sense to me. What was so different now that I wasn't doing back then? I honestly still don't know lol I stay focused. I go to school, I work two jobs, I have my own apartment, car and pay for everything by myself. Why wouldn't I be confident? And let's not forget about looks...let's just say my smile isn't my only curve :) but confidence is much more than physical...it's the way you act, the way you treat others. You can be pretty on the outside but ugly on the inside. Once you accept your flaws, no one can use them against you. If your hair won't grow, buy you some hair or rock a short cut. If you're overweight lose weight or be the best curvaceous person you can be. If you don't like something change it. If you can't change it accept it and embrace it, because all of your flaws make you YOU!
